Is therapy for me?
Our first session together is an opportunity for you to ask questions, explore your expectations around therapy and to decide whether we can work well together. Therapy can be a long-term commitment or time limited with a clear focus on a particular issue. It is important that you find the right therapist in order for you to get the most value out of the experience, which can be life changing.
How long and how much are the sessions?
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes every week and cost £80.
How often are the sessions?
Sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis. You might decide to commit to time limited therapy which is twenty sessions or you may decide to engage in longer term therapy.
How many sessions will I need?
This will vary according to the individual, and we can discuss this when we meet. Counselling can be short term or long term, depending on your needs. We will regularly review the work together. I recommend that all clients have a minimum of 12 sessions.
How will I know if therapy is helping?
Each individual experiences counselling in a unique way. As a general guide you know counselling is helping if you find yourself feeling more self-confident, you begin to have healthier relationships, you feel unburdened and you can see things more clearly and you find new ways of coping with habits that you want to break.
Where are you based?
My clinic is based in Greenwich.
